I’m Alex Lazar and welcome to my Portland counseling practice. I am a licensed professional counselor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I provide therapy to couples, adults, and families.
I have been in the mental health field since 2013 and a licensed clinician since 2021. I have worked in diverse settings and populations such as: psychiatric summer camps, wilderness therapy, behavior hospitals, private practice, and community mental health.
I am a level 2 Gottman trained therapist. I believe in the power of relationships to heal, grow, and transform. It would be a privilege to support you in creating the kind of connection you’re longing for.
I operate from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) lens. I also use a lot of Motivational Interviewing for substance use related therapy.
